Job Description

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented contract-to-permanent Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping
  • Generate financial reports for management review
  • Monitor cash flow and help track expenses and budgets
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding billing and payment matters

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

Nice to have

  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar accounting systems
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and expense tracking
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
