We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Roseland, New Jersey on a contract basis. This part-time role requires 10-15 hours of work per week, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate workload changes. The position will last approximately two months and is fully onsite.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks software
Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely processing of payments and invoices
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
Generate financial reports to support business decision-making and compliance
Collaborate with team members to address any bookkeeping-related concerns
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all transactions entered into the system
Prepare and organize financial documents for audits or reviews, as needed
Monitor cash flow and assist in tracking expenses effectively
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related role
Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial records
Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders
