A growing North Liberty organization is looking for a Bookkeeper who can step in, take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, and make an immediate impact. This isn’t a behind-the-scenes, heads-down-only role—you’ll be a trusted partner helping keep the business accurate, organized, and moving forward.
Job Responsibility
Managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Recording financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in the general ledger
Reconciling bank and credit card accounts regularly
Assisting with month-end close activities and preparing basic financial reports
Monitoring cash flow and helping identify discrepancies or areas of concern
Supporting payroll processing and expense tracking as needed
Maintaining organized, audit-ready financial records
Requirements
Hands-on bookkeeping experience (contract, small business, or corporate)
Strong attention to detail—you catch what others might overlook
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
Comfort working with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Solid Excel skills and overall confidence working with numbers
Nice to have
Experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses
Exposure to clean-up projects or process improvements
Ability to step into a role quickly and add value with minimal ramp-up
