We are seeking an organized and reliable Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Tempe, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping functions to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Prepare invoices, deposit records, and handle payroll functions as needed
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting
Support year-end audit processes and gather relevant documentation
Manage office documentation and maintain organized filing systems
Requirements:
Proficiency in Sage accounting software is required
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate’s degree or additional accounting coursework preferred
2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective time management and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Must be able to pass a background check prior to hire
