We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in North Billerica, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting HR processes. Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice entry, payment runs, and proactive collection efforts
Assist with month-end closing activities such as journal entries, inventory reconciliation, and generating financial reports
Prepare and distribute project-specific cost tracking reports, including labor distribution and phase analysis
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by maintaining financial records, auditing expense reports, and overseeing pension plan data
Administer payroll processes, including timecard collection, insurance enrollments, and annual evaluations of company benefits
Handle administrative tasks related to hiring, onboarding, and terminations while maintaining secure and compliant personnel records
Supervise direct reports in the accounts payable and procurement teams to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to organizational standards
Oversee purchase order entry and vendor management, identifying opportunities for cost savings and qualifying new suppliers
Maintain office standards and ensure the workplace environment is organized, efficient, and well-maintained
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or staff accounting, with expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job costing
Strong understanding of HR processes, including benefits administration and compliance with personnel record regulations
Proven ability to supervise team members and manage office workflows effectively
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and external stakeholders
