We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a financial planning office in Miami, Florida. This is a Contract position based in a detail-oriented, small-team environment where the selected candidate will help maintain accurate financial records and provide dependable administrative support. The role is well suited for someone who is organized, comfortable working independently, and able to communicate effectively in English, with bilingual Spanish skills considered an advantage.
Job Responsibility:
Manage daily bookkeeping activities by recording transactions accurately and keeping financial records up to date
Process incoming payments and vendor invoices while maintaining organized accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows
Perform bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies, resolve shortages, and ensure reporting accuracy
Support month-end closing tasks by preparing financial data, reviewing balances, and assisting with routine reporting
Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications to enter data, track financial activity, and maintain documentation
Provide administrative assistance for the office, including handling general clerical tasks and supporting day-to-day operations
Assist with payroll-related recordkeeping and ensure information is entered correctly and on time when needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or a similar financial operations role
Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger support
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel for tracking and reporting
Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain a high level of attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Comfortable working in a detail-focused office setting with a small onsite team
Reliable organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
