We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Tacoma, Washington. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and keeping financial data organized and current. The Bookkeeper will play an important part in supporting timely transactions, balanced accounts, and reliable reporting across routine bookkeeping functions.
Job Responsibility
Record financial transactions accurately and maintain organized bookkeeping records for daily accounting activity
Process accounts payable by reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and keeping vendor information up to date
Manage accounts receivable tasks, including issuing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances
Complete bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure account activity matches internal financial records
Maintain and update accounting information within QuickBooks to support accuracy and consistency
Review financial entries for completeness, identify discrepancies, and resolve routine issues in a timely manner
Assist with preparing basic financial reports and summaries to support ongoing business operations
Requirements
Experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping in a detail-focused business environment
Proficiency with QuickBooks for entering transactions, maintaining records, and reviewing account activity
Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and payment tracking
Working knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including billing and collection follow-up
Experience completing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks accurately and meet deadlines consistently
Strong organizational and communication skills with a dependable, detail-focused work style
