Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly organised and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join the team in Sunbury-on-Thames. This is an on-site role, ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping for small businesses who is looking for a part-time opportunity with flexibility.

Job Responsibility:

Manage payroll using Sage 50 Accounts, including processing dividends for Directors
Maintain purchase ledger and issue customer invoices using software similar to Sage (e.g., Sharp-Ax)
Reconcile customer accounts and manage credits/refunds
Chase outstanding payments and manage customer account holds
Handle digital tax submissions and liaise with HMRC
Reclaim import VAT
Administer pensions via NEST
Generate P60s and P45s
Track and manage employee holidays
Prepare and send financial data to our external accounting firm
Maintain professional filing systems and documentation

Requirements:

Proven experience in bookkeeping for small businesses
Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Strong understanding of UK payroll, tax, and pension processes
Fluent in spoken and written English
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
