Our client, a growing construction/service company in Palm Desert, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team full time. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys managing day-to-day financial operations and keeping accurate, organized records.
Job Responsibility:
Handle full-cycle accounting functions
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
Prepare and post journal entries
Assist with and support the month-end close process
Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and completeness
Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with reporting and other accounting projects as needed
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members regarding accounting matters
Requirements:
4+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience required
Experience with full-cycle accounting required
Strong background in AP, AR, bank reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close
Experience in construction or service industry accounting highly preferred
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field desired but not required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel preferred
Nice to have:
Experience in construction or service industry accounting
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
