We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Buffalo, New York. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing daily financial tasks, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Job Responsibility

  • Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate records
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently and within established timelines
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data
  • Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial entries, reports, and account management
  • Prepare and review financial reports to support decision-making processes
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for audits and compliance purposes
  • Collaborate with other departments to address financial discrepancies and provide support
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial principles
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Solid knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
  • Experience performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data management
