The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining organized records, assisting with tax compliance, and supporting financial decision-making through precise bookkeeping.
Job Responsibility:
Record financial transactions promptly and accurately in QuickBooks
Prepare and update financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Assist with sales tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Support the preparation of individual tax returns (Form 1040) with accuracy and efficiency
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to maintain financial accuracy
Organize and maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions
Collaborate with accountants and tax professionals to ensure the accuracy of reports and filings
Address client inquiries regarding bookkeeping and tax-related matters with attention to detail
Requirements:
Proficiency in QuickBooks software is required
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Experience with sales tax reporting and individual tax return preparation (Form 1040)
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented approach
Previous experience in an accounting or tax firm is preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus
