We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role involves managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping operations. As a short-term contract to permanent position, it offers an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term collaboration with our team.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Process invoices, payments, and collections in a timely manner
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are balanced
Prepare and generate monthly financial reports for management review
Support audits by organizing and providing required documentation
Track and reconcile donations, sponsorships, and event-related revenues
Assist with payroll processing and maintain HR-related financial records
Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals for compliance purposes
Utilize QuickBooks to manage and streamline financial operations
Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and implement solutions
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management
Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with accounting software
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and maintain detailed records
High school diploma or equivalent
additional certifications in accounting or bookkeeping are a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
