We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a property management operation in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a Contract position offering approximately 20 hours per week with flexibility in scheduling. The person in this role will help bring financial records up to date and provide ongoing bookkeeping support across multiple entities using QuickBooks Desktop.
Job Responsibility
Maintain accurate financial records for six related property management entities using QuickBooks Desktop
Record rental income, post tenant payments, and keep accounts receivable balances current
Process vendor invoices and issue payments on time while maintaining organized accounts payable documentation
Reconcile bank activity and investigate discrepancies to support accurate month-end records
Review existing books, complete catch-up bookkeeping tasks, and prepare records needed for tax filing support
Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders as needed to ensure timely and accurate financial processing
Monitor day-to-day transactions and maintain consistent bookkeeping practices for ongoing operations
Requirements
Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably supporting multiple entities or property management-related businesses
Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop in an accounting environment
Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
Ability to organize incomplete financial records and bring bookkeeping files up to date accurately
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage recurring transactions and deadlines
Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in a part-time contract role
