Robert Half Madison is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with 2+ years of experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations. This is an onsite position but after training, could have some opportunity for a more consistent remote/hybrid schedule.
Job Responsibility
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment application, and collections support
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy
Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity to support cash flow tracking
Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
Prepare regulatory and other financial reports as required
Support audit requests by preparing documentation and reports
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed
Requirements
2+ years of bookkeeping/general accounting experience
Recent experience using QuickBooks Desktop
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently
