We are looking for a dependable Bookkeeper to join a respected organization in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Job Responsibility:
Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are entered accurately and processed on schedule
Record a large volume of invoices, customer payments, and other financial transactions while maintaining strong attention to detail
Update and balance daily sales records to support accurate financial tracking and reporting
Apply incoming payments, monitor open balances, and follow up to help keep receivables current
Maintain organized bookkeeping records and enter financial data promptly to support efficient operations
Reconcile accounts regularly, investigate discrepancies, and take corrective action to resolve issues
Assist with month-end closing tasks and provide support for routine financial reporting needs
Work closely with internal departments and external contacts to help ensure smooth and timely accounting operations
Requirements:
At least 1 year of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume transactional setting
Practical experience supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Strong accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial records and data entry
Ability to organize priorities and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Effective communication skills with the ability to follow up professionally on outstanding items
Reliable, team-focused approach with a steady and dependable work style
