We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Delray Beach, Florida. This role is essential in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting compliance with accounting standards. Job Responsibility:
Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, payments, sales, and receipts
Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and collections
Prepare comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Assist in processing payroll and ensuring timely payments
Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities
Ensure all transactions align with established accounting policies and procedures
Organize and maintain both digital and physical financial documentation
Collaborate with management and accountants to develop budgets and financial forecasts
Assist in audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:
Proficiency in bookkeeping and financial record management
Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Strong skills in performing bank reconciliations
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data
Familiarity with payroll processing and reporting
Ability to work collaboratively with teams and independently
Understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance in a hospitality environment
