We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Stockton, California. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to manage financial operations and contribute to the organization's success. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in bookkeeping and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all assigned tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date
Manage weekly and bi-monthly payroll for employees, ensuring timely and precise processing
Handle payroll tax filings and compliance requirements
Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payment to vendors and proper documentation
Assist with increased payroll demands during peak periods, such as June through August
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and other relevant software
Provide support with financial reporting and audits as needed
Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve efficiency
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role
Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management
Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience with payroll processing for multiple employees
Familiarity with payroll tax filing and compliance regulations
Ability to perform bank reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders
