Bookkeeper

• Oversee and manage payroll processes for multiple clients across industries
• Coordinate with a team of accountants handling payroll as a function of their roles
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of wages, tax filings, garnishments, and W-2 preparation
• Lead the transition of clients to a new third-party payroll system that supports end-to-end payroll processing
• Supervise and mentor the Payroll Assistant
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Serve as the subject matter expert for payroll issues and inquiries
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve payroll procedures and client experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Payroll Manager, preferably within a public accounting or multi-client environment
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, garnishments, and benefits reporting
• Experience working with or transitioning to third-party payroll systems
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus
• Proven ability to manage, train, and develop payroll staff
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• No degree required experience and capability matter most
