We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to play a key role in managing financial records and maintaining accuracy in all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and a passion for ensuring financial integrity. This is a part-time role only.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Perform bank reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Prepare and manage month-end close activities, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete
Use QuickBooks and other accounting software to track and manage financial information
Reconcile accounts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
Assist in preparing individual tax returns and provide necessary documentation for filings
Conduct data entry and maintain detailed records in Microsoft Excel
Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and month-end close processes
Familiarity with preparing individual tax returns
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders
Knowledge of data entry practices and financial compliance standards
