We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Tamarac, Florida. Job Responsibility:
Accurately record financial transactions and maintain updated general ledger entries
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data
Prepare journal entries and ensure they are posted correctly into accounting systems
Utilize QuickBooks Online to handle bookkeeping tasks efficiently and accurately
Generate periodic financial reports to support decision-making processes
Analyze financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with established accounting standards
Maintain organized records for financial documentation and reporting purposes
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or related financial roles
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial principles
Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries
Understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract position
