A financial services firm in Santa Monica is hiring a part-time Bookkeeper to provide support for 1-2 months. As the part-time Bookkeeper, you will support AP and perform general bookkeeping responsibilities. This role will be onsite two days per week for a two-month timeframe with the possibility of extension. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the Controller and Managing Partners to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial activities across multiple entities.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee Accounts Payable processes: process invoices, expense reports, and check requests, manage AP aging, and maintain payable schedules
Ensure timely and accurate payments across multiple entities
Manage vendor payments through ACH, checks, and wire transfers
Resolve discrepancies related to payables
Maintain thorough and organized financial records
Requirements:
Prior experience in Accounts Payable or bookkeeping is required
Experience in fund accounting or financial accounting is strongly preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management
Proficiency in using QuickBooks software
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows
Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
