Our client, a respected nonprofit organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in nonprofit bookkeeping who are passionate about supporting meaningful causes.
Job Responsibility:
Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Record and classify expenses, donations, grants, and program-related income in compliance with nonprofit accounting principles
Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation for management and board review
Maintain organized and accurate records to ensure readiness for annual audits and grant reporting
Assist with budgeting, grant tracking, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with staff across departments to answer accounting-related questions
Support year-end closing activities and prepare required schedules for auditors
Requirements:
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Nonprofit sector experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in nonprofit accounting software (such as QuickBooks Nonprofit, Sage Intacct, or similar)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of fund accounting and grant management best practices
