We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Pasadena, California. This role is ideal for someone who can keep accounting records organized, produce accurate reports, and help maintain smooth payment and collection processes. The successful candidate will bring hands-on bookkeeping experience, strong reconciliation skills, and confidence working with financial data in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Record and maintain financial activity with precision by preparing ledger updates, journal entries, and transaction documentation
Oversee outgoing and incoming payments by managing vendor invoices, customer billing, and follow-up on outstanding balances
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements regularly, researching variances and resolving discrepancies promptly
Generate key financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries, to support leadership decisions
Assist with payroll-related recordkeeping, employee expense monitoring, and documentation needed for tax and regulatory compliance
Review accounting data for completeness and accuracy, helping ensure reliable financial reporting and audit readiness
Requirements
At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience
Practical experience using QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting activities
Strong working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Proven ability to complete bank and credit card reconciliations accurately
Solid understanding of general ledger maintenance and financial recordkeeping
Ability to prepare clear financial reports and manage multiple deadlines effectively
