Our client, a growing company in the real estate industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract-to-permanent opportunity in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for an organized accounting professional who enjoys managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a busy team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts
Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close
Manage invoicing, billing, and collections activities
Track expenses and ensure proper coding of financial transactions
Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping
Prepare financial reports and support management with reporting needs
Maintain organized and confidential accounting files and documentation
Communicate with vendors, tenants, and internal staff regarding financial matters
Support the accounting team with additional administrative and bookkeeping duties as needed
Requirements:
2+ years of bookkeeping experience
Real estate industry experience preferred
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
