Colleen McAuliffe at Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy in accounting records for our valued long-term client. In this role, you will collaborate with store managers and vendors to maintain seamless financial operations.
Job Responsibility:
Record invoices and daily bookkeeping entries using accounting software
Maintain clear communication with store managers to address financial inquiries and updates
Follow up with vendors regarding invoices, pricing, and promotional details to ensure accurate records
Reconcile accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies
Prepare financial reports to assist in decision-making and budgeting processes
Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in all financial practices
Support audits by organizing and providing accurate financial documentation
Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes for greater efficiency
Assist in managing payroll and employee expense tracking
Requirements:
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records
Effective communication skills to collaborate with managers and vendors
Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial data
Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes
Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is preferred
