We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial operations for an industrial family owned business. This onsite role requires a detail-oriented individual skilled in QuickBooks and general bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with external accounting firms and internal teams.
Job Responsibility:
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks for three affiliated companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
Utilize QuickBooks software to record and monitor financial transactions
Prepare and file monthly sales tax reports for all entities
Coordinate with external accounting firms to address higher-level financial matters
Assist with HR processes by onboarding new employees through Paychex
Ensure all financial activities align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
Provide comprehensive support for administrative and finance-related tasks within the headquarters
Requirements:
Extensive experience using QuickBooks is essential
Strong proficiency in bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and sales tax reporting
Ability to manage financial operations for multiple entities within a single organization
Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and adapting to dynamic workflows
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with external accounting firms
Willingness to work onsite, five days a week
Nice to have:
Prior experience in transportation or logistics is not required but preferred
