Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Keene, New Hampshire. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in records, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to both daily operations and broader organizational initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee accounts payable processes, including managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely payments
Handle weekly financial transactions ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 with precision and accountability
Set up new vendor accounts and manage payment platforms to streamline operations
Record daily sales promptly to maintain accurate financial records
Reconcile cash transactions and deposits, including credit card payments, on a daily basis
Perform month-end bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Assist with new staff orientation twice a month, supporting their onboarding process
Manage memberships, gift cards, and event-related financial tasks throughout the year
Provide support during peak business periods by addressing additional operational needs

Requirements:

Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial principles
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Expertise in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Familiarity with bank reconciliation and cash management
Ability to handle high-volume financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines
Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and team members
Flexibility to support various business needs during peak periods
