Bookkeeper

• Record incoming payments in accounting and loan servicing software, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
• Scan and deposit paper checks into the bank while maintaining proper documentation
• Reconcile daily receipt of funds between servicing systems and accounting software, resolving discrepancies as needed
• Prepare daily monetary movements and provide detailed income reports to management
• Supervise weekly accounts payable entries and reconcile escrow disbursements to QuickBooks disbursements
• Complete monthly investor reports, reconciling collections and escrow accounts for clients with multiple accounts
• Verify fees and entries to ensure alignment between loan servicing software, deposits, and investor accounts
• Assist with bank reconciliations and support monthly reporting processes
• Respond to inquiries from investors, servicing departments, and customers regarding payments and account adjustments
• Facilitate the onboarding and closing of client accounts, ensuring proper documentation and communication

• At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, demonstrating expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, investors, and internal teams
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism
