We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our client in the Ripon area. This is a contract position that offers consistent hours initially, with the possibility of transitioning to part-time. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate financial records, handling customer transactions, and supporting essential bookkeeping functions.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare work orders and accurately convert them into invoices
Process client payments and ensure proper documentation
Manage accounts payable to ensure timely supplier payments
Handle payroll processing with precision and confidentiality
Calculate, file, and remit sales tax in compliance with regulations
Perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online
Organize and preserve financial documentation for easy access
Support general clerical operations to enhance business efficiency
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and basic computer applications
Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, customer-focused setting
Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes
Experience with bank reconciliations and payroll management
Knowledge of sales tax calculations and filings
