We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounting tasks and financial data with precision and efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Utilize accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data
Review figures, postings, and documents to confirm accuracy and compliance with codes
Classify and summarize financial information to maintain accurate records using ledgers and journals
Handle cash, checks, and vouchers, including banking and recording transactions
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
Prepare detailed financial reports and tables, including cash receipts, expenditures, profits, and losses
Perform account reconciliations and month-end close activities
Assign codes to financial documents in line with company procedures
Requirements:
Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Experience with account reconciliation and month-end closing procedures
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software
Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Ability to perform accurate bookkeeping and maintain detailed financial records
Familiarity with payroll management and processing
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Capable of effective data entry with minimal errors
