Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist with a short-term accounting project in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This contract position involves cleaning up financial records, addressing a backlog of bookkeeping tasks, and supporting overdue tax preparation efforts. The role requires expertise in QuickBooks Online and a detail-oriented approach to organizing financial data.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform comprehensive cleanup of financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and organize bookkeeping tasks efficiently
  • Support the preparation of overdue tax documents by reconciling accounts and verifying data
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to maintain financial accuracy
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to align financial records with statements
  • Collaborate with the client to address outstanding accounting issues and implement solutions
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and standards throughout the project
  • Provide regular progress updates to the client and recommend strategies for improved financial organization
