Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to oversee financial transactions and maintain accurate records for our client's team. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and preparing financial statements. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in bookkeeping within the construction industry.

Job Responsibility:

Process and manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions
Prepare and issue invoices while maintaining detailed billing records
Handle payroll processing, including union payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations
Oversee the preparation and submission of lien waivers as required
Generate and review financial statements to support decision-making and maintain financial accuracy
Maintain organized records of all financial activities for easy retrieval and reporting
Collaborate with team members to address and resolve discrepancies in financial data
Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations and standards

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable management
Strong knowledge of billing processes and financial recordkeeping
Proficiency in handling payroll, including experience with union payroll
Familiarity with preparing financial statements and interpreting financial data
Previous experience in the construction industry is highly preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
