We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a Contract to potential hire basis in Atlanta, Georgia. This role combines accounting responsibilities with administrative support tasks, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The position requires in-office attendance three days a week, with the potential for remote work one day per week after becoming established in the role.
Job Responsibility:
Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including creating journal entries, processing deposits, and performing bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
Coordinate monthly check runs, ensuring certified checks are mailed promptly and accurately
Provide administrative support by preparing meeting materials, recording minutes, and organizing catering arrangements for events
Develop engaging social media content using tools like Canva and draft posts to enhance online presence
Maintain and organize office documents, binders, and other administrative materials to ensure accessibility
Record journal entries for investment accounts and manage financial data in QuickBooks
Collaborate with team members to facilitate efficient office operations and assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed
Utilize Microsoft Office tools, such as Word and Excel, to input data and generate reports
Participate in virtual meetings via Microsoft Teams, maintaining effective communication and workflow within the team
Requirements:
Proficiency in performing account reconciliations with accuracy
Experience handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Strong skills in bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping
Ability to manage data entry tasks with attention to detail
Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis
Familiarity with QuickBooks for managing journal entries and financial accounts
Knowledge of month-end closing procedures and payroll processes
Effective communication and organizational skills to support administrative tasks
