We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a services organization in Rockaway, New Jersey. This is a Long-term Contract position with standard on-site business hours, offering the opportunity to manage core accounting activities and provide administrative support.
Job Responsibility
Process customer billing and issue invoices accurately while maintaining organized financial records
Manage outgoing payments by reviewing, recording, and tracking accounts payable transactions in a timely manner
Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances to support effective accounts receivable management
Reconcile bank statements and accounting records to ensure financial data remains accurate and up to date
Enter and maintain bookkeeping information in QuickBooks Desktop with a strong focus on precision and completeness
Assist with routine administrative tasks that support office and accounting operations
Prepare financial documentation and reports as needed to help maintain smooth daily workflow
Requirements
Hands-on experience performing bookkeeping duties in an office environment that requires strong attention to detail
Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks
Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing processes
Experience completing bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies accurately
Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently during regular on-site business hours
