A growing organization in the Greater Danbury area is seeking a Bookkeeper for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a dependable accounting professional with hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop and a strong understanding of day-to-day bookkeeping functions.
Job Responsibility
Maintain accurate books and records for daily financial activity
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
Record journal entries and assist with month-end close
Support payroll processing and expense tracking as needed
Prepare financial reports and account summaries for management
Ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping
Requirements
Prior bookkeeping experience required
Experience with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop required
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Proficiency in Excel and bookkeeping software
