We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position within the non-profit sector, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in financial management and administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and be skilled in using QuickBooks to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Utilize QuickBooks software to track transactions and generate reports
Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial accounts
Assist in preparing financial statements and documentation for audits
Ensure timely payment of invoices and proper recording of expenses
Collaborate with the Executive Director to provide financial insights and support
Maintain organized records of all financial activities for easy access and review
Develop and implement efficient bookkeeping processes as needed
Provide general administrative support to enhance office operations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably within the non-profit sector
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to accurately handle financial data and maintain confidentiality
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members
High degree of professionalism and integrity in financial management
