Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis in a contract-to-permanent position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse clients, particularly those in property management and legal industries, while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting business operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions for multiple clients in QuickBooks Online or other accounting software
  • Process accounts payable and receivable while ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Generate monthly financial reports and assist with payroll processing for clients
  • Perform clean-up projects to organize and update financial records for new clients
  • Assist in managing property management accounts using specialized software like Appfolio or Yardi
  • Follow established workflows and procedures, contributing to process improvements as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored bookkeeping solutions
  • Support growth initiatives by taking on additional responsibilities as the client base expands

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a client-focused environment
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping for property management, real estate, or legal industries
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
  • Solid understanding of U.S. accounting principles and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts while meeting deadlines independently
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Nice to have:

  • Additional experience in Appfolio or Yardi being highly desirable
  • Familiarity with other accounting software is a plus
