An Industrial Property Management company in Brentwood is hiring a Bookkeeper/Assistant Property Manager on a contract-to-hire basis. The Bookkeeper/ Assistant Property Manager will assist with day-to-day financial and property management activities. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounting and finance, who will play a key role in the financial operations and reporting of a property portfolio.
Job Responsibility:
Enter and manage property data in Yardi for the complete industrial portfolio
Support the financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, tenant billing, and lease administration
Assist with preparation of annual budgets and ongoing tracking of expenses for multiple entities
Prepare and review financial statements and custom reports for management and ownership
Collaborate with accounting and property management teams to resolve issues and provide documentation for owner reports
Maintain accurate records of leases, vendor contracts, insurance certificates, and compliance documents
Respond professionally to property-related inquiries, ensuring strong communication across stakeholders
Support ongoing improvement projects and implement cost-saving initiatives
Requirements:
Proficiency in Yardi is required
experience with industrial properties preferred
Previous experience with financial institutions or fund accounting, and managing multiple entities
Strong bookkeeping and Excel skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or property management
Expertise in Yardi software is essential
experience with industrial properties is a plus
Prior experience in fund accounting or managing financial operations for multiple entities
Strong proficiency in bookkeeping and advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication and organizational capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or property management, or equivalent experience with attention to detail
Familiarity with accrual accounting and general ledger functions
Ability to handle month-end close processes efficiently
