We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to support affiliated companies: This role is fully on-site and will be based out of our office just south of Ravena, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, and familiarity with the construction, Manufacturing,and Building Materials distribution industry. You will be responsible for managing the full cycle of bookkeeping and providing accurate financial reporting to support business operations in cost/profit tracking.
Job Responsibility
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities for multiple entities
Process and track invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks
Generate financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Monitor cash flow and support budgeting efforts, project bidding and billing
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Collaborate with internal owners/managers across all companies
Requirements
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting (multi-entity experience preferred)
Proficiency in QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online)
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
Experience in or knowledge of the construction, Building materials, manufacturing industry is highly preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
