Job Responsibility

Read drawings, work orders and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications
Select, clean and prepare metal stock, fabrication tools and equipment
Use of cutting / welding equipment and boiler making tools to install, fabricate, weld and/or repair structural components, pipe supports, caissons & J-Tube installation
Fit and assemble metal components by riveting, bolting, welding, brazing or soldering
Use machines, equipment and tools in a safe and appropriate manner
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc

Identify required materials from either stores or external suppliers based upon detailed job plans and submit purchase requests in SAP for identified materials
Identify required external services based upon the detailed job plans and submit purchase requests in SAP for identified services
Assure that work orders selected by the OMC have been coded as 'Planned' and 'Ready to Schedule' and that parts, materials and external resources, if required, are available
