Job Description

Randstad is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join our team for an ongoing, Monday-to-Friday position. This role is heavily focused on mild steel workshop fabrication. If you take pride in your workmanship, thrive in a busy workshop environment, and possess strong structural fabrication skills, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

High-quality MIG and Stick (MMAW) welding on mild steel
Comprehensive structural and general steel fabrication
Cutting, grinding, drilling, and preparing materials to precise specifications
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment

Requirements

Must hold a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade / Fabrication) or equivalent
Proven experience in mild steel fabrication and welding (MIG & Stick)
Proficient with workshop machinery (grinders, bandsaws, drills, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality finishes
Excellent reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Valid driver's license and reliable transport

Working effectively inside designated confined spaces and performing structural modifications at heights
Collaborating closely with the on site mechanical maintenance team to ensure swift turnaround times with zero compromise on safety
