Job Description

Nightshift resource for the Key Lake Tank Refurbishment program - Boilermaker preferred. Contract Duration: 8 months. Work Location: Key Lake, SK - flights from Saskatoon, SK. Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off - 11 hrs per day.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure contractors within their area are working in a safe manner abiding by all safety program requirements
  • Review and/or develop detailed work plans according to Cameco’s workface planning processes
  • Perform supervision of direct field labour on mechanical/piping scopes of work ensuring the work is completed safely and to a high quality standard
  • Oversee the contractor’s activities of a mechanical/piping nature confirming the work is completed safely and according to all contract requirements
  • Inspections of completed work to confirm it is completed to appropriate standards, identifying deficiencies and managing the completion of deficiencies
  • Monitoring the schedule and productivity of work and work collaboratively with the contractor and operations personnel to resolve issues and barriers
  • Daily validation and approval of contractor submitted labour, equipment and material reports
  • Coordinate field activities between contractors and the Cameco operations team as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience with multi-discipline mechanical work required (mechanical equipment, piping)
  • Previous experience in a brown field construction environment is required

  • Co-ordinate maintenance teams to carry out all related maintenance activities to ensure the equipment is always maintained to a high standard
  • Communicate with the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent on day-to-day activities, work order control and cost management
  • Liaise with Mining to ensure that equipment is maintained, and that Mining are aware of potential repairs / downtime relating to wear items, buckets / bodies and blades etc
  • Ensure relevant documentation is completed & filed as required by maintenance & planning groups
  • Ensure that company vehicles and tooling are maintained and that both company and contractor vehicles and tooling comply with mine site regulations
  • Ensure that GET and Wear Package management is carried out to maximise value and minimise unplanned events
  • Work with the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent to lead and guide the Bucket / Body / Blade strategy and management to achieve budgeted costs and change periods
  • Ensure that area inductions are current and help maintain the integrity of PLS competency records
  • Draft Safe Work Method Statements for PLS HSEQ Committee review, approval and implementation across the business
