Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Boiler Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain boiler systems and controls. This role involves service, start-ups, new installations, upgrades, and supporting customers with service contracts.

Job Responsibility

  • Diagnose and repair boiler controls, combustion systems, and boiler accessories
  • Perform new equipment installations, system start-ups, and upgrades (gas conversions, flame safeguard, parallel positioning controls)
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, combustion and emissions analysis
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, and DDC control issues
  • Maintain accurate service tickets, records, and reports
  • Assist with training junior technicians
  • Maintain truck stock, tools, and company vehicle
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Attend vendor and company training as required
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a professional appearance

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working with commercial or industrial boilers
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, ladder logic, electrical schematics, combustion, and boiler room equipment
  • Experience with PLCs, DDC controls, flame safeguard controls, and HVACR/steam systems
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office + control software)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Apprentice or Journeyman License preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, manuals, and safety procedures
