Job Responsibility

Implement operational workshop loading system in line with company policy/procedures, ensuring all targets and deadlines are met or addressed
Liaise with office logistics staff to monitor the number of vehicles coming into the site for repair
Optimum utilisation of resources within area of responsibility as set out in targets
Deliver exceptional customer service
Awareness and compliance with Health and Safety requirements in the workshop, and responsibility of personal protection equipment worn by the staff in the areas of responsibility
Responsible for notification of potential Health and Safety risk to the people who may be directly affected by the risk
Monitor and control workshop output and efficiencies
Verbal explanation of the repair procedure and process to the workshop and customers and variable levels of understanding
Implement the use of workshop equipment when allocating tasks
Ability to value a vehicle at a market value in order to determine the repairable economics of a damaged vehicle

ATA qualified (or equivalent)
Relevant experience as an estimator
Ability to qualify and quantify repairs required

Job Responsibility

Lead and manage site VDAs and customer care team members, including technical guidance
Carry out visual inspections to identify any accidental damage caused to avoid uninsured loss damage costs
Estimate by considering the most economical repair method
Provide explanations of the repair procedure and process to team members and customers
Value vehicles at market value to determine the repairable economics
Review all open job cards (daily) and report any ongoing and recurrent work in progress problems, as well as ensuring all information on job cards is record accurately for invoicing
Assist in the correct evaluation and justification of bodywork warranty claims and provide comprehensive explanations thereof
Estimate repairs required together with the time to be allowed, materials and parts required for repairs and explain work required, to customers and to insurance and other assessors in an efficient, pleasant, courteous and professional manner
Make efficient use of all modern estimating methods and work in line with approved times
Bring to customers’ attention any problems, faults and other issues that might impact on the performance and safety of their vehicles

Job Responsibility

Work with the AAR team to ensure all body repairs and paintwork meet defined quality procedures
Visually inspect all vehicles in line with the provided job card and ensure all departments are following the correct repair process
Highlight quality issues and liaise with the Assistant Manager to ensure re-work is delivered in a timely manner
Accurately complete all quality control documentation to AAR standards
Meet bodyshop set targets. eg 10 vehicles per day
Adhere to all BS10125 standards (TBC)
Work with the site’s receptionist to ensure that all vehicles are returned to customers within agreed SLAs
Maintain awareness of all Health & Safety requirements and lead by example
Control the flow of vehicles coming in and out of the workshop
