We are hiring Test Technicians to work at the Body and Chassis Dyno lab in Dearborn, MI. This is a position for those with some knowledge and experience in automotive, either on the job or as a hobby. We are looking for someone with a passion for automotive and an enthusiasm to learn automotive testing from a leader in the industry. We offer full benefits and and unlimited opportunity to build your career. This position is for the Afternoon Shift (3pm - 11:30pm). Training will be on day shift the first 6-8 weeks of employment. Most of the testing involves durability simulation of subsystems and components. Testing responsibilities include mechanical preparation and instrumentation, test execution, data collection and posttest removal of test equipment and various automotive components. Will be working with test lab instrumentation including application and installation of transducers, accelerometers, load cells, potentiometers and other various types of electrical equipment. Work with vehicle suspension components and sub systems.
Job Responsibility
Complete test-related duties as assigned during daily scheduling meetings. Execute work independently with quality and efficiency
Ability to receive parts and prepare for first run subsequent runs according to test matrices
Ability to conduct test stand sample prep, fixturing, installation / removal, photographic documentation, test execution, data collection and review
Ability to run standard tests and support test engineers for unique one-off testing in a lab environment
Ability to run multiple test facilities simultaneously
Will be required to meet all workplace Health and Safety requirements and practices. Provide feedback and identify opportunities to improve workplace conditions
Continually work to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained and proper data quality is achieved

Requirements
High School Diploma required
Must have proficient electrical and mechanical knowledge and skills
Good interpersonal, computer, oral and written skills
Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers
Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner
Dependable personal transportation to work site is required
Nice to have
Associate’s in Automotive Technology or a combination of 2 years’ experience and college
Previous experience in a testing environment, including: hydraulic experience, hydraulic / pneumatic system controller experience, automotive systems / sub-system familiarization, MTS controller familiarization
Three (3) or more years’ experience in vehicle system and subsystem related testing preferred
Three (3) or more years’ experience in vehicle, lab testing preferred
Proficient in MS Office, PC based systems
Knowledge of overall vehicle systems (chassis, body, seat, suspension preferred) Engine and transmission a plus
Fabrication experience: General machine shop (drill press, band saw, grinders, welding, mill, etc)
