Job Description:

As a Boarding and Applications Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating a smooth, efficient merchant onboarding experience for our Payments customers. You’ll be the connective force between merchants, internal teams, and our processing partners—ensuring every account is accurately set up, approved on time, and ready for a successful software launch.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with Sales to gather pre-application information
  • Collect and verify required merchant documentation
  • Perform initial underwriting checks following processor/vendor KYC guidelines
  • Accurately board new merchant accounts to increase first-entry approval rates
  • Serve as the liaison between merchants and processors to secure timely approvals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve merchant account configuration issues
  • Support and de-escalate situations with frustrated merchants using patience, clarity, and empathy
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across internal teams to meet launch timelines
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of processor/vendor products, platforms, and systems
  • Become a trusted expert on Daxko’s payments products and services
  • Follow compliance policies and established SOPs with precision
  • Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance goals
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across all levels of the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year working with credit card processing, ACH processing, banks, or fintech
  • Proficiency with PC tools and systems
  • Demonstrated success managing complex financial or operational projects
  • Experience resolving customer escalations

Nice to have:

  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • 2+ years working with credit card or ACH processing, banks, or fintech
  • Familiarity with First Data Merchant Services
  • Experience with credit card processing applications, risk, reserves, and compliance
