Job Description

The town of Westborough seeks applicants for the 32 hour/week position of Administrative Assistant for the Board of Health. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary customer service contact for members of the public contacting the department via phone, email or in-person; performing general administrative duties and maintaining accurate records; assisting in the processing of permit applications and tracking related payments; and preparing and posting meeting agendas and meeting minutes. Applicants shall possess an associate degree and six months to one-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified applicants should have knowledge of database, spreadsheet and word processing software as well as social media applications. This is a 32 hour/week, benefit-eligible union position with a starting pay rate of $22.98 per hour (maximum of range for position is $32.21); wage will increase 2.5% on July 1. Hours for position are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Noon to 8 p.m. (four-day work week).
