Job Description

Learnd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BMS Project Manager to oversee and manage multiple BMS projects across London, the South East, and Kent. The ideal BMS Project Manager will come from a BMS engineering background, having extensive experience with Trend and Tridium systems, and have worked in a building management systems environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure successful delivery of BMS projects
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, third parties/vendors, and all project stakeholders
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Provide technical direction and support for project team members
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of Trend and Tridium systems to ensure project success
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards
  • Oversee the integration of HVAC, lighting, security, and other systems into the BMS
  • Lead project teams, manage day-to-day project activities, and ensure team members have the tools they need to succeed
  • Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
  • Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet with clients to take detailed briefs and clarify specific project requirements
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in project management within the BMS environment
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in Trend and Tridium systems
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project)
  • BMS-specific certifications (e.g., Trend, Tridium) are highly advantageous
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Leadership: Ability to effectively lead and manage a team
  • Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure project quality and success
