Learnd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BMS Project Manager to oversee and manage multiple BMS projects across London, the South East, and Kent. The ideal BMS Project Manager will come from a BMS engineering background, having extensive experience with Trend and Tridium systems, and have worked in a building management systems environment.
Job Responsibility:
Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure successful delivery of BMS projects
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, third parties/vendors, and all project stakeholders
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Provide technical direction and support for project team members
Utilize extensive knowledge of Trend and Tridium systems to ensure project success
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards
Oversee the integration of HVAC, lighting, security, and other systems into the BMS
Lead project teams, manage day-to-day project activities, and ensure team members have the tools they need to succeed
Delegate project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Perform risk management to minimise project risks
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Meet with clients to take detailed briefs and clarify specific project requirements
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Requirements:
Proven working experience in project management within the BMS environment
Solid technical background with hands-on experience in Trend and Tridium systems
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project)
BMS-specific certifications (e.g., Trend, Tridium) are highly advantageous
Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
Leadership: Ability to effectively lead and manage a team
Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure project quality and success
Ability to travel as required by the project
Physical ability to inspect installation sites and ensure quality control
Must have the right to work in the UK
Nice to have:
BMS-specific certifications (e.g., Trend, Tridium) are highly advantageous
