In the Sr. BMS Hardware Systems Engineer role, you will lead the airborne electronic hardware (AEH) systems development processes and execution for Archer’s high voltage Battery Management System (BMS) electronics — ensuring that the hardware, sensing, and control circuitry meet the stringent safety, reliability, and certification standards required for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. You will develop and manage comprehensive electronic hardware requirements along with design description documentation. Your work will directly enable the certification and safe operation of Archer’s battery systems powering the next generation of sustainable urban air mobility.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to support hardware implementation of high-reliability, safety-critical systems for aircraft design
Develop comprehensive hardware requirements and traceability matrices aligned with system and certification requirements (DO-254, ARP4754A)
Define and decompose hardware system requirements with traceability through overall system architecture
