Job Description

Join a leading national team delivering cutting-edge Building Management System (BMS) solutions across the UK. In this role, you'll take ownership of full project lifecycles — from initial design and mobilisation through to commissioning and client handover. Working with industry-leading platforms such as Trend, Tridium (Niagara), and Distech, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, tailored solutions to a diverse client base. This is a hands-on position suited to a proactive engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering exceptional results. You'll be part of a dynamic National BMS Projects & Operations Team, collaborating with over 50 engineers, managers, and support staff nationwide.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver end-to-end BMS projects, from site mobilisation through to final commissioning and handover
  • Design and configure effective control strategies tailored to client requirements
  • Conduct site surveys and assess system requirements
  • Commission BMS systems, including graphics and head-end interfaces
  • Integrate systems using open protocols such as Modbus, M-Bus, and BACnet
  • Support and mentor junior engineers, promoting best practices
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to client expectations

Requirements

  • Niagara Framework Certification – Ideally Certified or Advanced, with strong experience in Wire Sheets and control strategy development
  • Protocol Integration Expertise – Proven ability to integrate systems using Modbus, M-Bus, BACnet, and other open protocols
  • Strong IT & Networking Knowledge – Solid understanding of IP configuration and network infrastructure
  • Design & Commissioning Experience – Skilled in developing control strategies, schematics, and commissioning complete BMS solutions
  • Leadership & Communication Skills – Comfortable mentoring junior engineers and engaging with clients and stakeholders
